Newest City Employee - Training Officer for Garibaldi Fire & Rescue

Allow me to introduce you to the City's newest employee, Blake Paulsen.  At the beginning of November, Blake started his new full-time position as Training Officer for
Garibaldi Fire & Rescue
Here's a tidbit of information he gave about himself:
"I come to Garibaldi with 15 yrs of fire experience. I grew up and started my fire career in McMinnville, Or. I later went to Black Butte Ranch Fire District to become a student and attend Central Oregon Community College pursuing a fire science degree. I worked for the Fire Division of the Deschutes National Forest during the summers to help pay for college. After Schooling, I volunteered at Amity Fire District as a Lieutenant- Training Officer for a few years before accepting a full time training position in Othello Washington.
In 2011 I met my wife Christine and we married in 2015. We have 2 amazing children, Lilly who is turning 4 and Wyatt who is now 10 months. We enjoy Family trips in our travel trailer, fishing, crabbing and spending time in the mountains. Lilly loves to spend time at the fire station climbing and riding on the fire trucks while Wyatt is just starting to walk and loves spending time with his sister. "
Welcome to Garibaldi!! We are happy to have you here! đźš’
