Executive Order 20-12

Governor Kate Brown has issued Executive Order 20-12 STAY HOME, SAVE LIVES. This order does not prohibit Oregonians from enjoying outdoor activities or recreation, but it does direct citizens to do so under current social distancing protocols of six feet, and only in non contact situations. Any social activity where six foot distancing cannot be maintained is prohibited.
Additionally it does permit restaurants and bars to continue take out procedures for food service, and other businesses that are allowed to remain open must employ a dedicated monitor to enforce social distancing measures. There are also limitations for child care facilities and other activities. A large number of business where the maintenance of social distancing measures could be more easily compromised are being ordered to shutter.
