Tourism Commission

About the Commission

The Garibaldi Tourism Commission was formed by the City Council in September of 2010 to promote tourism in Garibaldi. This commission is enabled through Section 2.55 of the Garibaldi Municipal Code. In June of 2019, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 329 revamping the structure of the Tourism Commission and amending the original Ordinance No. 317.

This commission has a vision of establishing Garibaldi as the overnight anchor point for exploring Oregon’s authentic fishing village, as well as the attractions and natural scenic wonders of Tillamook County and the North Oregon Coast. The mission of this commission is to increase stays in Garibaldi by developing a comprehensive plan for family-focused tourism opportunities. You can also download the mission and vision statement.

If you are interested in working with this commission, volunteering to further its goals, or simply learning more, please contact City Hall at 503-322-3327.

Meetings

The Tourism Commission has been disbanded as of January 2021.  Dates and times of future meetings have yet to be established, but will be posted with ample notice to the community.
